A move to Colorado found him playing for the Denver Barbarians and continuing his Super League appearances. He was invited to play for the West Selects in the ITTs in 1999. Rob also played for the Combined Services teams 1997-2000 where he captained the squad during the 1999 ITTs and British Columbia Tour.
