We had actually qualified for the 1990 Women's Club Championships as a west representative, beating 3 of the 4 collegiate matches played. But Capt. Avery did a political deal that we wouldn't go to club nationals if the West would push through a collegiate women's national championship, which they agreed to do the next year.
