It is my honor and privilege to introduce a great American Airmen. I recently had the opportunity to speak with General Wally Moorhead and from our short conversation I knew this was a man who understood just like all of us how important our experiences on “the fields of friend strife” shaped our lives. Gen Moorhead is one of us; a ‘68 Preppy and USAFA class of ‘69. A star football player who saw the light and ended up a Zoomie.

General Moorhead went on to a distinguished 37 year career as a fighter pilot. He commanded two tactical fighter squadrons, an operations group, and the 50th Space Wing. He led operations in Sarajevo, Bosnia, Herzegovina, Macedonia, Croatia and Iraq. General Moorhead retired in 2006 as the NATO Allied Air Component Commander. Please help me welcome one of our most distinguished Zoomie Rugby players!
